BTD Manufacturing celebrates 40 years of innovation and growth
BTD Manufacturing, headquartered in Detroit Lakes, Minn. is celebrating their 40th anniversary with community service and employee appreciation events coupled with their continued commitment to customer success and innovation.
“Our founders recognized that a commitment to our communities is necessary while building a great company for our employees,” says BTD President Paul Gintner. “Growth is about more than profits, it’s about making life better for our employees so they can deliver on our vision to be our customers’ first choice in metalwork. This is why our anniversary celebrations are centered around community service and employee appreciation.”
Throughout the month of May, BTD employees are engaged in community service projects wearing ‘BTD Blue’ featuring a special anniversary logo. The company will serve appreciation meals and ice cream to employees as they rock out to classic tunes from 40 years ago during 40-minute breaks with chances to win prizes.
“We are excited to celebrate the growth we’ve experienced over the last 40 years through hard work, innovation, and acquisition,” says Gintner. “We’re at a great point in our company’s history, but this is only the beginning of our commitment to provide first-class metalwork for world-class brands.”
Bismarck Tool and Die was founded in 1979. The following year, headquarters moved to Detroit Lakes, Minn. to better serve regional clients. Years later, as the business grew beyond its tool and die roots, Bismarck Tool and Die shortened their moniker to BTD. Over the last 40 years, BTD has expanded into a variety of custom metalwork services such as metal fabrication, stamping, machining, powder coating, robotic welding and tubing. This menu of services has ensured their top place among fabricator’s and clients needing metalwork.
Named 4th on The Fabricator’s Fab 40 list in 2018, BTD continues to invest in people, processes, and technology to provide first-class service to world-class brands while valuing their team members and the communities in which they live. Their success shows in more than 1,300 employees who work in BTD locations in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Lakeville, Minn., Dawsonville, Ga., Buford, Ga., and Washington, Ill.
