AN OTTER TAIL COMPANY
In 1995, BTD became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Otter Tail Corporation. This provided our company with the opportunity and resources to grow our business and better serve the needs of our customers. In addition, it helped expand our management expertise, strategic planning and allowed us to hire and train the best people in the business to make products for our customers.

Since 2000, Marty has had a passion for seeing BTD turn raw materials into high-quality steel parts for its world-class customer base. During his nearly 20 year tenure, Marty has been involved with every facet of the company; from Quality & IT to Materials & Systems. While he's seen technology come a long way over the years, he's excited to see how it will continue to improve productivity and enhance the company's capabilities.

Since 2000, Vicki has supported BTD’s growth by aligning people practices with company values, strengthening leadership capability, and creating a consistent, respectful workplace. She is passionate about helping employees grow in their careers by expanding development opportunities, building clear pathways for advancement, and equipping leaders to support continuous learning and long-term success.

Throughout the years, Jared has consistently focused on building strong relationships, understanding customer needs, and identifying opportunities to create lasting value. As president of BTD, Paul lives and breathes the company's core values. He thrives on seeing the team bring the BTD vision to life. Paul, one of BTD’s first employees, has grown along with the company, from 6 employees to 1,200+. The passion for the business that he has grown over the last 40+ years is contagious.

Doug SmallVP of Finance
Doug joined BTD in 2016 with leadership responsibility for the Accounting and Finance organization. He remains focused on improving BTD’s financial performance and collaborating with the executive team to make sound growth investments aimed at improving BTD’s production efficiency and cost competitiveness. At the same time, Doug ensures BTD earns an adequate return on investment that aligns with Otter Tail’s long-term earnings growth strategy.
