DETROIT LAKES, MINN. — Sept. 30, 2020— BTD Manufacturing, a customer-focused, growth-oriented manufacturing partner providing innovative solutions to world class brands in the metal fabrication market, has expanded its stamping capacity and broadened its press offerings at its Dawsonville, Georgia facility. The improvements allow the company to better serve its customer base through shorter lead-times, while driving efficiencies in the supply chain.

The Georgia facility’s new stamping press is a Komatsu OBS110. The unit has a 110-ton capacity and offers optimal consistency and part quality. It features a bolster size of 27.5 inches deep by 43.375 inches wide. Its feed line maximum thickness is 0.105 inches by 18 inches to 0.165 inches by 6 inches. 

The addition of the 110-ton stamping press in Georgia comes on the heels of the installation of a 300-ton stamping press and the acquisition of a 70,000 square-foot warehouse in Buford, Georgia. These significant commitments to the Southeast illustrate BTD’s resolve for growth in the region.
